Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) is a National level entrance examination which will be conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) from this year as per the directions of Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India. Earlier it was conducted by AICTE.
CMAT is a 3 - hour computer based online test, conducted in a single session to evaluate the candidate’s ability across various sections including Quantitative Technique and Data Interpretation, Logical Reasoning, Language Comprehension and General Awareness. The score of this test is considered by several institutions to select suitable graduate candidates for admission to their flagship Management programs. CMAT score is accepted by all AICTE-approved Institutions/Constituent Colleges/University Departments/Affiliated Colleges. As per the official notification, CMAT 2019 will be conducted on 28th January, 2019.
The result of CMAT-2019 will be declared next year on 8th February, 2019 and CMAT Score will be accepted by over 1000 participating institutes for admission in their MBA courses. Candidates must apply separately to each of the CMAT-2019 participating institutes. Then, each participating institute will release their respective cut – off of the CMAT Score. The candidates clearing the cut off will be called for further rounds of admission process.

CMAT Expected Cutoff 2019: Determining Factors
The participating institutes have formulated certain specific factors mentioned below for deciding on the cutoff of CMAT 2019 -:
- Total number of candidates appearing for the exam
- Number of seats available in the particular institute
- Total number of candidates clearing the aggregate sectional cutoffs of the entrance exam
- Difficulty level of CMAT 2019

Once a candidate clears the cut-off of a participating institute, he/she will be called for further rounds of admission process. The candidate will basically have to appear for Group Discussion (GD) or Written Ability Test (WAT) followed by a Personal Interview (PI). Different colleges consider different weightages to CMAT score and the following rounds of admission. Some institutes also give certain weightage to academics and diversity.
