What were the various parameters considered and their respective percent weightages for shortlisting candidates for PI-WAT round for admission into PGPM programme Batch of 2018 – 2020?

IIM Visakhapatnam has adopted three phase selection process -

  • Phase 1 -  Shortlisting of candidates who secured minimum CAT percentile cut-off (both sectional and overall), have applied for IIM Visakhatpatnam and reconfirmed their interest.
  • Phase 2 - Shortlisting of candidates on the basis of these parameters -
    • CAT (weight = 40%)
    • Class 10 (weight = 20%)
    • Class 12 (weight = 10%)
    • Bachelor's Degree (weight = 20%)
    • Gender Diversity (weight = 2%)
    • Work Experience (weight = 8%)
  • Phase 3 - Shortlisted candidates in Phase 2 who have submitted a detailed application, will be considered for PI.
    • Candidates interviewed by IIMs at Bangalore, Calcutta, Indore, Kozhikode, Lucknow (for PGP/PGPM programs) need not appear for PI; their score will taken from the above IIMs.
    • Candidates not interviewed by above IIMs will be be required to appear for PI.

Final offers of admission to candidates for PGP programme made on the basis of -

  • PI score (weight = 30%)
  • WAT score (weight = 10%)
  • CAT (weight = 25%)
  • Class 10 (weight = 10%)
  • Class 12 (weight = 5%)
  • Bachelor's degree (weight = 10%)
  • Weighted Work Experience (weight = 10%
