What were the various parameters considered and their respective percent weightages for shortlisting candidates for PI-WAT round for admission into MBA programme Batch of 2018 – 2020?

IIT Delhi releases shortlist based on Shortlisting Idex (SI) which involves -

  • Securing minimum section-wise and aggregate percentile scores in the CAT.
  • SI score - calculated on the basis on
    • CAT scores
    • Weights for Bachelor's Degree marks
    • Weights for Class 10+2 marks
    • Weights for Class 10 marks
    • Weights for additional qualification (such as Master degree, diploma)
    • Weights for Work experience

What were the various parameters considered and their respective percent weightages for releasing final admission list for admission into MBA programme Batch of 2018 – 2020?

Final admission list is based on the admission index as follows:-

  • Shortlisting Index (SI)  score 60%
  • WAT 10%
  • Interview 25%
  • ECA 05%

Our views – While we do not judge the responses by IIT Delhi, one interested thing that we noticed is that you need to secure more than 95 percentile (if belonging to General Category) if you want to pursue your MBA from IIT Delhi, which is not the case with old IIMs.
